“Do to others what you would have them do to you.” — Matthew 7:12
People who are actually mature and humble always respect others. It is not some social hack or just basic manners, it is just how a mature life naturally flexes.
Respect creates a safe space, and that is when people actually open up. People only want to share when they feel seen and valued. Respect lets someone know: my feelings matter, my boundaries are respected, and my voice is actually heard.
Most drama is not even about the issue itself, it is just people feeling disrespected. Getting ignored, dismissed, or invalidated just makes everyone put their guards up. Respect builds safety, safety brings trust, and trust builds healthy relationships. (wk)
Verse of the Day
“complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” – Philippians 2:2-3
Words of Wisdom
“Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.” — 1 Peter 2:17
“True humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less.” (C.S. Lewis)
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1
Respect is all about making people feel valued. “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.” (John Maxwell)
Respect usually starts with a gentle word. “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” (Mother Teresa)
